Yoga Facilitator – Meditation and Mindfulness

Throughout her studies within psychology, yoga and meditation, Gigi became a close
devotee to a path conducive to mindful living and movement.

Gigi travelled to Rishikesh, India where she obtained her training in Ashtanga
Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga. Although her practice and teachings are inspired by a
tradition of dynamic movement, she is a strong proponent of incorporating a steady
Yin practice as a counter force to fast paced living.

Her classes aim to integrate the whole spectrum of yoga principles as inspired by her
teachers and informed through scriptures. Gigi’s classes and teachings are also
strongly driven by her own intuitive practice and journey towards body awareness.

Aside from a steady 7 year asana practice, meditation has also been a strong
foundation throughout Gigi’s yoga journey. In the last 2 years, Vipassana meditation has provided her with new found clarity and stillness, merging practice with everyday
life. This is what most inspires Gigi to teach and share the blessings of Yoga, by
integrating yoga into everyday life, each day becomes a blissful moving meditation.

Gigi will never cease being a student of the yoga discipline. She believes that within
this practice, the highest form of learning is that of learning to share the blessings of
yoga.
